HP3 Featured in Chicago Sun-Times
We wanted to share an exciting milestone for the Highland Park Peace Project (HP3). Recently, the Chicago Sun-Times published a feature on HP3’s work, highlighting how the organization is keeping score on assault weapon producers and their business partners, and bringing transparency to corporate ties to the gun industry. You can read the article below.
Since launching last year, HP3 has graded more than 180 companies and added 60 additional firms in recent months. As HP3 co-founder and board member Stephanie Jacobs shared in the article, the goal is not to vilify companies, but to encourage change and prevent the continued enabling of gun manufacturers.
This coverage underscores the growing impact and relevance of HP3’s data-driven model, using transparency and market pressure to influence corporate behavior and give individuals and institutions clear, practical ways to act.
Please visit our Scorecard at hppeaceproject.org/scorecard and shop with companies that prioritize people over profiteering from assault weapons. Together, we can indeed be a force for change by transforming individual purchasing decisions into a collective value-driven movement.
